Increasing the intensity: The IDF attacked terrorist targets deep inside Yemen in the capital Sanaa area. Details.
The IDF announced on Sunday morning that it carried out airstrikes deep inside Yemen, targeting terrorist infrastructure in the capital region of Sanaa, roughly 2,000 kilometers from Israel’s coast.
According to the statement, the strikes hit energy facilities used by the Iran-backed Houthi regime, which has repeatedly attacked Israel with rockets and drones. The IDF emphasized that it will continue to act “forcefully” against Houthi attacks on Israeli citizens and strike threats wherever necessary.
Houthi-affiliated outlets reported that the Khayz power station in Sanhan district, south of Sanaa, was hit, causing heavy damage and shutting down generators. Residents said they heard at least two large explosions. Al-Masirah TV, controlled by the Houthis, said firefighters were battling blazes at the site.
