Billionaire entrepreneur Elon Musk is warning that Europe could face escalating violence, claiming that attacks across the continent are becoming more frequent and more deadly.
“I think we’re going to see widespread slaughter in Europe,” Musk said, arguing that there has been “a massive increase in the number of attacks.” He also accused legacy media outlets of downplaying the scale of the violence, adding: “The attacks, the terrorism, the killing of innocent people is rising. Every week, there's more.”
His remarks come amid ongoing debates in several European countries over security policy, migration, counterterrorism measures, and media coverage of violent incidents. Governments across the continent have reported increased security concerns in recent years, particularly tied to lone-actor attacks and extremist networks.
