Minister of Defense Yoav Galant, a short time ago finished the daily assessment of the situation with senior members of the defense establishment. Minister Gallant summarized the directions of action required in the main combat efforts.

The discussion was attended by: Chief of Staff Major General Harzi Halevi, Head of the Shin Bet Ronan Bar, Mossad Head David Barnea, Director General of the Ministry of Defense Colonel (res.) Eyal Zamir, Commander of the intelligence formation for locating the kidnapped and missing persons Col. (res.) Nitzan Alon and other senior officials in the security system.

The Minister of Defense said at the end of the assessment of the situation:

"I have now completed the daily assessment of the situation, I have summarized the directions of action regarding the main efforts - the military effort, the effort to free the abductees, the civilian effort and the humanitarian effort."

"We passed a stage in the war - tonight, the ground in Gaza shook. We attacked above ground and below ground, we attacked terrorist operatives at all levels, in all places. The instructions to the forces are clear: the operation will continue until a new order.'

"In the other sectors we are preparing to protect the citizens of Israel, in order to maintain their safety. We do this in the north, in the center, and everywhere else.'
