Two months after Turkey revealed an Iranian plot to kill Israelis on its soil, an official who previously served in the Iranian Revolutionary Guards confirmed that members of the IRGC were involved in "failed" assassinations, and emphasized that this series of failures caused serious damage to the organization's intelligence services.
The senior official added that in these operations the deputy director of the counterintelligence agency and two senior officials, one of them former and the other still serving in the special operations authority in the intelligence division of the Revolutionary Guards, played a key role.
He also emphasized that the failure of the counterintelligence agency resulted in the assassination of senior officials in the Iranian missile program.
