Israeli pavilion unexpectedly in the middle of the night blocked and covered with black cloth
The Defense Ministry reported that a day before the opening of the Paris Air Show, the exhibition organizers, on behalf of the French government, ordered the removal of offensive weapons from the Israeli defense industry pavilions, contrary to what is customary at defense exhibitions around the world.
Under the direction of the Director General of the Defense Ministry, Maj. Gen. (Res.) Amir Baram, the ministry informed the organizers that it was rejecting the demand. The unilateral action was carried out in the dead of night, after representatives of the Defense Ministry and the industries had finished preparing the pavilions and the Israeli display.
NEWSRAEL: The french government originally banned the companies from showing at all but the French courts overturned the decision. The french are not doing this because of Gaza - but because of competition - especially after 5 of their planes bought by India were shot down during their last brief clash.
