Turkey has approached the United States and Lebanon with a proposal to help broker an arrangement regarding Hezbollah, according to two sources familiar with the details.
The Turkish offer to act as a mediator and assist in resolving the Hezbollah issue was made recently, but so far the administration of Donald Trump has not given a clear response—neither accepting nor rejecting the initiative.
One of the sources told i24NEWS that the Lebanese government is also not enthusiastic about the idea, largely due to its reluctance to see an expansion of Turkish influence within Lebanon.
NEWSRAEL: WHY THIS IS IMPORTANT

Any Turkish involvement in the Hezbollah file raises serious concerns about bias, given Ankara’s history of support for Hamas and its growing regional ambitions.
