In recent weeks, the Egyptian army, together with its subordinate militias, has launched another operation designed to purge the presence of ISIS in the villages between Rafah and Sheikh Zayed in northern Sinai.

This morning it was reported that ISIS members killed at least three members of the Egyptian regime's militias yesterday . 

The Egyptian army despite all attempts is having difficulty eliminating the Islamist presence in the northern part of the peninsula although it will be emphasized that at this stage the incidents are far from the tourist areas in southern Sinai.
