Former CIA officer Bryan Dean Wright says a new report proves ex-CIA Director John Brennan manipulated intelligence to damage Donald Trumpโs presidency โ and should face prison time.
The controversy centers on the Intelligence Community Assessment (ICA) ordered by then-President Obama and led by Brennan in late 2016, which concluded Russia sought to help Trump win the election. Wright claims Brennan deliberately distorted this report to ignite the now-debunked Trump-Russia narrative.
Here are the five key revelations:
Brennan pushed the discredited Steele dossier
Despite publicly claiming he gave it no weight, Brennan reportedly insisted it be included in the ICA, ignoring warnings from top CIA officials that it lacked basic credibility. He said it supported the Trump-Russia “narrative consistency.”
Brennan sidelined other intel agencies
Brennan took unusual control of the ICA process, shutting out other agencies and the National Intelligence Council, allowing him to control the message and suppress dissent.
He directly interfered in the report’s content
Brennan’s intense personal involvement pressured analysts and compromised the integrity of the assessment, the report concludes. He ensured the final product supported his political aims.
He rushed its completion
Analysts reportedly felt “jammed” to meet Brennan’s demand to complete the ICA by December 2016. The rushed timeline was atypical for such a complex and politically sensitive report.
He and Comey ensured it would leak
Brennan and then-FBI Director James Comey shared the ICA with over 200 officials — far more than normal for such classified material — virtually guaranteeing it would be leaked to the press.
Wright argues: John Brennan, James Comey, and their fellow anti-Trumpers in the U.S. intel community intentionally tried to destroy the presidency of Donald Trump — with a tightly controlled, scripted, rushed, and poorly sourced ICA (and dossier).
In doing so, they tried to destroy not just President Trump, but also the Republic itself. And that’s why this still matters.
These men thought they knew what was best for America, and they didn’t give a damn what voters like you thought. It was their country – not yours – and they were willing to act with their profound powers to destroy a politician they didn’t like.
That’s why these men deserve to rot in prison, along with anyone in the Obama White House or Clinton campaign who colluded with them.
