It can now be revealed: as part of Israel’s broader strategy to weaken and ultimately bring down the ayatollah regime in Iran, the Mossad reportedly transferred weapons and ammunition seized from Hamas and Hezbollah to Kurdish forces.
The move reflects a deeper Israeli effort to turn Iran’s own terror network against it. For years, Tehran armed Hamas in Gaza and Hezbollah in Lebanon in order to surround Israel with proxy armies. Now, weapons captured from those same Iranian-backed terrorists are reportedly being redirected toward forces hostile to the regime inside and around Iran.
The Kurds have long been one of the most serious ethnic and strategic challenges facing Tehran. Kurdish opposition groups operate across areas of Iran, Iraq, Syria and Turkey, and Iran has repeatedly attacked Kurdish positions out of fear that armed Kurdish movements could encourage unrest inside the Islamic Republic.
If accurate, the transfer represents a powerful message from Israel: the weapons Iran sent to murder Israelis may now help threaten the regime that supplied them. It also shows how Israel is working not only through direct military strikes, but through pressure on Iran’s internal fault lines.
