The Israeli Air Force, guided by Naval Intelligence and Military Intelligence, carried out a major strike Wednesday night against key Iranian navy infrastructure in the Caspian Sea. The operation marks the first time Israel has targeted Iranian naval assets in this region during Operation “Roar of the Lion.”
Dozens of military vessels were hit at an Iranian naval port, including missile ships, patrol boats, and support vessels equipped with air defense systems and anti-submarine capabilities. A central command headquarters overseeing naval operations in the Caspian Sea was also destroyed, along with critical maintenance and repair infrastructure used to sustain Iran’s fleet.
This strike is considered one of the most significant since the beginning of the operation, dealing a substantial blow to Iran’s ability to project naval power in the Caspian Sea. Israeli officials emphasize that operations will continue targeting core military capabilities of the Iranian regime.
