Anwar Gargash, adviser to the president of the United Arab Emirates, issued a sharp warning over Iran’s growing regional ambitions, saying that countries across the Middle East are paying the price for Tehran’s policies.
“From the Persian Gulf to Yemen, Lebanon and Iraq, we are all paying the price for the growing regional ambitions of the Islamic Republic of Iran,” Gargash said.
He added that “a reassessment of this approach is necessary and inevitable,” signaling that regional leaders are increasingly viewing Iran’s conduct as a direct threat to stability across the Middle East.
Gargash’s comments are significant because they come from one of the most influential voices in the UAE, a country that has carefully balanced diplomacy, economic interests, and regional security concerns. His statement reflects a wider understanding in the Arab world that Iran’s strategy has brought destruction, instability, and armed proxy warfare to multiple countries.
