Saudi Arabia pours emergency aid into Pakistan's collapsing economy. What did they get in return?

Pakistan's Finance Minister, Ishaq Dar, said today, Tuesday, that Saudi Arabia has deposited two billion dollars in the account of the Central Bank of Pakistan.

The Pakistani minister added: "I thank Saudi Arabia on behalf of the prime minister and the army chief," adding that this money will lead to an improvement in the economy in the future, according to Reuters.

The Saudi Press Agency (SPA) earlier noted that the kingdom may increase its investments in the Pakistani economy to about $10 billion, in addition to raising its deposit ceiling in the Central Bank of Pakistan to $5 billion.

The Saudi crown prince, Prince Mohammed bin Salman, examined the possibility of increasing Saudi investments in Pakistan, and asked the Saudi Development Fund to increase the ceiling of Saudi deposits in the Central Bank of Pakistan as part of supporting the economy of Islamabad, which is facing difficulties, according to (SPA).

Pakistan's inflation has soared and the rupee has fallen to record lows against the dollar, while the country struggles to finance imports, leading to a significant drop in industrial production.

Note: It is not impossible that the flow of Saudi money to Pakistan follows a secret arrangement between the two countries in the nuclear field, especially when it is clear to everyone that Iran is a step away from completing its nuclear project that Saudi Arabia is so afraid of. It is estimated that Pakistan has expanded the nuclear arsenal at the disposal of the Saudis, some of which have already been at their disposal for many years.

It is also possible that some of the money will bring Pakistani know-how to the nuclear project that Saudi Arabia is pressuring the US to give it an official goshpanka for.

It should be noted that Egypt is also in an economic situation similar to that of Pakistan, including a severe foreign currency crisis, which forced it to request emergency aid from Saudi Arabia, which agreed to this only after Egypt agreed to return 2 islands, Fin and Tiran, to Saudi control.

Saudi Arabia does not give free money!!
