IDF forces from the Gaza Division (143), operating under Southern Command together with the Shin Bet, eliminated a Hamas terrorist cell on Saturday that approached the “yellow line” and was planning imminent attacks against Israeli troops in central Gaza.
Following intelligence analysis, it was confirmed that Ali Sami Mohammed Shakra, a Hamas Nukhba platoon commander who infiltrated Israel during the October 7 massacre, was among those eliminated. He took part in the abduction of Hersh Goldberg-Polin, Alon Ohel, Eliya Cohen, and Or Levy from the roadside shelter in Re’im.
Also eliminated were Mohammed Mabhouh, a company commander in Hamas’s Al-Bureij Battalion, and Mohammed Fouad Gasser Sayyed—both involved in holding hostage Avinatan Or in Gaza. Additional Nukhba terrorists were also killed, including operatives involved in launching rockets at Israel.
