After the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR) reported yesterday about unusual Israeli military activity in Syria in the area near the border with Israel, today the official Syrian news agency, SANA, reported that the activity is continuing.
According to the agency, one person was killed in an IDF raid on the village of Taranja in the northern countryside of Quneitra. It was reported that IDF forces entered the village and fired at one of the houses, which led to the death of a local resident, Rami Ahmed Ghanem.
It was also reported that an IDF force moved towards the town of Suissa, also in the Quneitra province, accompanied by more than 30 military vehicles, while firing. In the town, the soldiers entered several houses, detained a suspect for several hours and finally released him.
The report noted that yesterday, IDF forces operated in various areas on the outskirts of Damascus and Quneitra, and took control of a point known as Tel Bat al-Warda, located at the foot of Mount Hermon.
