Iranian-linked attacks appear to be expanding beyond US targets, with a new strike hitting a European military base in Iraq—signaling a possible escalation in the regional confrontation.

The attack, reported by Italian Defense Minister Guido Crosetto, occurred overnight between March 11–12, 2026, and targeted Camp Singara near Erbil in the Kurdistan region of Iraq, where Italian forces are stationed.
