A 17-year-old pedestrian was killed this evening (Sunday) as a result of a vehicle hit on Road 352 near Moshav Otzem near Kiryat Gat. The Magen David Adom (MADA) team that arrived on the scene treated him, performed resuscitation attempts on him and was eventually forced to determine his death. The police have opened an investigation. The victim is a yeshiva student, a resident of Jerusalem.

Following the accident, Road 352 from the Nehora junction to the Noga junction in both directions was blocked to traffic.

"The wounded man was lying on the road unconscious and suffering from a very severe multi-systemic injury," said MADA medic Haim Atia. "He was without a pulse and not breathing."
