In less than a week, the Islamic holiday of Ramadan will begin. As discussed before, this is historically a holiday of war going all the way back to the Islamic prophet Mohammed initiating wars during this Islamic month.
The world would have us believe that Ramadan is a holy month of peace, similar to the holiday of Christmas or Easter. It is not...it is a time of war.
But in their ignorance, the world demands that Israel drop all arms during the holiday.
The world preaches that Israel is an "apartheid nation" that ignores the rights of its Muslim citizenry. They clamor to yell for Netanyahu's head, calling him an islamophobe and warmonger.
But in their ignorance, the world ignores that the Al-Aqsa mosque is open for Moslems, yet forbidden for others... and Netanyahu and Israel have supported that and respected Islam for over 50 years regarding the Temple Mount. And while many of his cabinet advisors have suggested entirely closing the mosque during Ramadan; Netanyahu announced today that Israel will keep up the standards of past years in allowing Muslims to come worship.
The world believes that Israel is an aggressor and "colonialist"
But in their ignorance of history, the world ignores the fact that there has been a continuous Jewish presence in Israel for over 3000 years (and they ignore that there has never in history been a "Palestine"). In their ignorance of current events, the world turns a blind eye to the countless rockets that have been launched into the north of Israel. They close their eyes to the many terrorist attacks that happen in a daily basis in Israel.
The world claims to support women's rights. They claim that Israel is the great perpetrator of persecution.
And again, the world's ignorance is shown as they refuse to see that women are empowered in Israel, but would be forced to live under Sharia law in any other Muslim region, including their proposed Palestine.
The world says that Israel is responsible for the horrific attacks by Hamas on Oct. 7. The world says that Gazans have been suffering and Oct. 7 was a legitimate action and wasn't really that bad.
But Israel has shown the world the false nature of these claims. Israel has shown miles of terror tunnels; and countless hours of footage produced by Hamas that show atrocity after atrocity being committed proudly by Hamas.
Israel has duly elected government officials and an elected Prime Minister; and yet the United States had meetings with an Israeli government official who is not representing Israel... but whom they want to take Netanyahu's place.
Rabbi Hillel said, "If I am not for myself, who will be for me? If I am only for myself, what am I? If not now, when?"
The world has demonstrated they will not be "for Israel". We must all manifest Hillel's statement and be for the Jewish people and Israel... for no one else will be. We must be aware of the world, including those in Gaza. If we ignore all others, we again fail in Hillel's instruction.
And if not now, when? The time has come when ALL Jews must put aside their politics, and come together in unconditionally supporting Israel.
The world demonstrates day after day how little they care about us. Let us care about each other. Now and always.
Am Echad... One People. We must hold on to that truth and never let the phrase ever become just empty words.
