Israeli prosecutors filed indictments against 10 suspects tied to an Israeli-Arab crime family for an assassination intended to intimidate the residents of the northern town of Maghar, it was cleared for publication, on Sunday
As part of raids on the Abu Latif crime family police seized 46 weapons, including shotguns, M4 weapons, explosives, ammunition, a LAW anti-tank missile, grenades, and drones.
Fatin Kaizel, the cousin of Maghar’s newly-elected mayor was shot and killed on March 9, two weeks after the city’s municipal elections. Kaizel was a prominent figure in Mayor Farid Ghanem’s campaign and was going to serve as Ghanem’s personal assistant.
Investigators tied most of the suspects to the Abu Latif crime family, known for selling drugs, extortion, loan sharking and money laundering.
