The start-up which manufactures and markets the scooter "Phoenix" from the UAE is currently being attacked in Qatar due to its ties with Israel.
The company has signed an exclusivity agreement for the use of its scooter to operate in the largest sports complex in the Qatari capital called "Aspire". There have also been recent rumors that it is set to expand to other parts of the Gulf.
However, opponents of normalization recently appealed to the heads of the complex to release itself from the agreement, since the largest investor in this start-up comes from Israel - the "Maniv Mobility" fund.
According to the same sources as the CEO, Michael Granoff has in the past made harsh anti-Qatari statements, including that Qatar is behind ISIS funding and has also spoken out harshly against the Palestinians.
