India has reportedly approved major new arms purchases from Israel, reinforcing Jerusalem’s position as one of New Delhi’s top defense partners.
According to the reports, the deal—estimated at between $8.6 and $8.7 billion—makes Israel one of India’s leading defense suppliers, second only to France. The agreement reflects deepening strategic and military cooperation between the two countries amid rising regional security challenges in Asia and beyond.
The package is said to include approximately 1,000 SPICE 1000 precision-guided bombs, Rampage air-to-ground missiles, Air LORA air-launched ballistic missiles, and the Ice Breaker missile system. In addition, the deal reportedly covers advanced drones, radar systems, and surveillance equipment designed to enhance India’s long-range strike capabilities and battlefield intelligence.
If confirmed, the agreement would mark one of the largest defense export packages in Israel’s history and underscore India’s growing reliance on Israeli precision-strike and advanced targeting technologies.
