NY Times Publishes Hasidic School investigation in Yiddish

The Hasidic Jewish community in New York has long operated one of New York’s largest private schools, resisting any outside scrutiny of how its students are faring.

A NY Times article that features a probe into education standards within New York’s Hasidic Jewish community was published in both Yiddish and English, to allow the Hasidic community access to the findings of the investigation.

The newspaper alleges that within the Satmar Hasidic School, 100% of students failed English proficiency tests.
They also claim that “generations of children have been systematically denied a basic education, trapping many of them in a cycle of joblessness and dependency” in the Hasidic communities.

Hasidic religion is a Jewish tradition and is not no way a comparison to American tradition. They should be left along to study in the way the chose. Hebrew is their language!!!!!!!

That’s hard to believe! I don’t know that I trust the NY Times to publish an unbiased opinion.
