Israeli forces carried out a major counterterror operation overnight in the Nablus sector, arresting several wanted terrorists, including senior operatives and individuals previously linked to violent activity against Israel.
According to initial details, among those arrested was Hamdi Dweikat, identified as one of the leaders of the “Lions’ Den” terrorist group and previously detained in Balata camp. Also detained was Sheikh Daoud Abu Sir, who was among the 415 Hamas and Islamic Jihad operatives deported to Lebanon in 1992 before later returning to Judea and Samaria.
Additional arrests included Asid Al-Na’ana from An-Najah University, Islam Ammar from Nablus, and Haj Khaled Al-Sousa along with his son Anas Al-Sousa from the Al-Ma’ajeen neighborhood. The latter two were reportedly involved in riots and violent confrontations in the area.
Security forces continue operations in the region as part of ongoing efforts to dismantle terrorist infrastructure and prevent future attacks.
