He forged Salvadoran passports to give Jews safe passage from Europe.

Contreras defied his government and saved tens of thousands of Jewish lives.

It took courage to defy not only his own government, but the Fascist dictator who was bent on destroying the Jews. Thank G_d for people such as this.
