A Lebanese television investigation has accused Hezbollah of systematically using scout movements and youth programs to prepare children for future combat and martyrdom.
According to the report aired by MTV Lebanon, Hezbollah openly glorifies young fighters killed in battle by giving them public “heroes’ funerals” designed to inspire other children to follow the same path. The report says this activity is carried out openly despite Lebanese authorities being fully aware of it.
The investigation further claims Hezbollah believes that “every drop of blood” shed by child fighters brings victory closer, and that the organization uses ideological indoctrination, ceremonies, and scout activities to cultivate obedience, sacrifice, and readiness to die among children.
The report is especially notable because it comes from within Lebanon itself, reflecting growing concern among some Lebanese voices over Hezbollah’s influence on younger generations and its militarization of civilian society.
