The Japanese news agency TBS reported that Hossein Amir Abdullahian, the foreign minister of the Islamic Republic of Iran, will travel to Tokyo on Sunday, August 6, to talk with officials in that country.
According to this news agency, Mr. Amirbadolhian will also meet and discuss with Fumio Kishida, Prime Minister of Japan during this official visit.
TBS news agency, citing several unnamed government officials, reported that during this official visit, Japan will ask Iran to stop sending weapons to Russia.
Japan is one of Ukraine's supporters in the war with Russia.
This country has implemented all the international and American sanctions against Tehran, including stopping the purchase of oil from Iran, and trade between the two countries has been reduced to a minimum in recent years.
