I previously wrote to you about the incitement of the Mufti of Oman against Israel and now he is doing it again.
In his tweet on X, Ahmed bin Hamad al-Khalili wrote, for all Muslims to "spend their free money to provide the Palestinians in Gaza with food and weapons."
"Our deep sympathy, our warm condolences and our sincere prayers are sent to the fraternal Palestinian people, especially to the residents of Gaza, for the great suffering that befell us all as a result of the barbaric Zionist treachery, which was perpetrated in dear Gaza and claimed the lives of men, women and children," he wrote to his more than half a million followers.
It should be noted that the post of mufti in Oman, as in any Arab country, is a government post. In light of the authorities' silence, it is not surprising that Oman is considered a possible target for the Hamas leadership if it is expelled from Qatar.
It's a bit amazing to think that Oman has an image of a moderate country, which previously opened an interests office in Tel Aviv and even approved before the war in October the opening of its airspace for flights to and from Israel.
