According to the British Times, Israeli agents recently visited Iranian nuclear sites targeted in Operation “A Rising Lion.”
U.S. President Donald Trump confirmed the visits, telling the New York Post that Israeli operatives entered the sites to confirm their total destruction: “They had people go in and said it was a complete wipeout.”
The Times report aligns with Trump’s earlier revelation that Israel deployed agents to verify the aftermath of its surprise offensive on Iran’s nuclear infrastructure. Trump insisted the strikes were so swift that Tehran had no time to hide its uranium stockpiles.
He claimed the attacks crippled Iran’s nuclear program, setting it back by decades, despite a leaked early intelligence assessment suggesting Tehran could recover within months.
“Israel is preparing a report on this now, I understand,” Trump told reporters at the NATO summit in the Netherlands. “I was told they called it a complete wipeout.” He emphasized again: “I believe it was total destruction.”
Trump added that Iran had no chance to remove any nuclear material before the strikes. “If we had taken two weeks, maybe. But it’s very hard and very dangerous for them to move that stuff,” he said.
He also claimed Iran was aware an attack was coming: “If they know we’re coming, they’re not going to be there.” Trump warned that while Iran’s nuclear ambitions were severely set back, he would not rule out further action if Tehran tries to rebuild its program.
“The last thing they want to do right now is enrich anything. They want to recover — and we won’t let that happen,” he said. “Militarily, we won’t allow it. I think eventually we’ll have some kind of relationship with Iran. I can see that. They agreed to the ceasefire, and it was a very balanced deal. Both sides said it was enough.”
