Political analyst Patrick Allocco says another Harris presidential campaign could hand Republicans an ideal general-election matchup.
Former Vice President Kamala Harris would be the Republican Party’s “dream opponent” if Democrats nominate her for president in 2028, Zoose Political Index founder Patrick Allocco told Newsmax.
Allocco argued that Harris remains closely associated with the failures of the previous Democratic administration and would struggle to rebuild support among independent and working-class voters.
Her possible return also highlights the Democrats’ continuing leadership problem. Despite losing the 2024 election to Donald Trump, Harris remains a recognizable national figure in a party that has yet to produce a clear new presidential frontrunner.
