Israeli breakthrough FoodTech startup strengthens leadership, accelerates global expansion

Israeli FoodTech startup Beyond Oil has announced a major strengthening of its leadership as it transitions from pilot-stage operations to a global, sales-driven commercial company.

The firm revealed that Daniel Birnbaum, former CEO of SodaStream, and Giora Bar-Dea, former CEO and President of Strauss Group, have joined its Advisory Board.

The appointments mark a pivotal moment for Beyond Oil, which has recently completed international pilots and begun rolling out commercial activity across multiple global markets. The company operates in the FoodTech sector, addressing a widespread and deeply rooted issue in the global food industry: the repeated reuse of frying oil over hundreds of cooking cycles — a practice associated with health risks, high operating costs, and environmental damage.
