According to a report by The New York Times, the US Department of Homeland Security recently established a specialized unit tasked with reexamining the files of thousands of permanent residents across the United States.

The reviews are reportedly focused on identifying possible fraud, security concerns, or irregularities tied to immigration status approvals.

The report states that at least 50 green card holders have already been flagged for deportation proceedings.
