WATCH: Syrian author calls for peace with Israel

"This doesn’t mean surrender, but being reasonable and rational"

Syrian author Khatib Al-Badle called for peace with Israel in a March 21, 2025, appearance on Sky News Arabia (UAE). He stated that he was one of the first to make such statements and faced criticism for it. 

He emphasized that this would be in Syria’s best interests, not Israel’s, as Syria had been losing its wars with Israel even when it still had an army. 

Now, with no army left, he argued, Syria must seek peace with Israel. 

Al-Badle clarified that this would not mean surrender, but rather being reasonable and rational. He stressed that Syria must not make concessions, but instead demand its rights.

Israel should support voices like Khatib badle and all Syrian peace advocates. All Israel enemies are attacking him for his call to be in peace with Israel

khatib badle is a great Syrian writer and peace activist with Israel. He stands against all Israel enemies and stands with all Syrian minorities against the Islamist authority in Syria.
