Report: Iranians arrested in Turkey planning to assassinate Israelis

Seven Iranian citizens were arrested in Turkey on suspicion of planning to assassinate Israelis - according to local reports in Turkey.

According to reports, the citizens were arrested on Sunday, June 17, in an initiative by the Turkish police. One of the suspects was released under restrictive conditions and was forbidden to leave the country, and the other suspects were arrested.

During the month of June, a wave of warnings about attacks against Israelis began in Turkey. As a result, the travel warning for Istanbul has increased to 4 - and will be reduced to 3 at the end of the month.

Security officials in Israel said that in recent times the Mossad managed to uncover three Iranian terrorist cells in Turkey, which were targeting three different attacks. The arrest of the last of them was revealed the day before. The other two squads aimed at Israeli tourists, who "left in the last seconds from Turkey".
