Not only thanks to its oil and mineral deposits is it the largest and wealthiest country in Central Asia; its leadership is eager for closer ties with the US. Europe and the West, and the widening opportunities for growth that spring from them.
Israel’s friendly ties with Azerbaijan are also perhaps one of the Jewish state’s most potentially advantageous bilateral relationships.
