International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) chief Rafael Grossi condemned Iran’s “disproportionate and unprecedented” move. Grossi said Iran’s move to bar the inspectors hinders its oversight of Tehran’s atomic activities.
Iran’s move came after the West called on Tehran to cooperate immediately with the IAEA.
The US, France, Germany, and the UK called on Iran to explain uranium traces found at undeclared sites.
Tehran said the “de-designation” was in retaliation for "political abuses" by the US, France, Germany and the UK.
