Over the past few days, forces of the Commando Division, under the command of Division 98, began a large-scale ground operation in the heart of Gaza City as part of Operation Gideon Chariots II.
The fighters operate in a dense, built-up combat space, combining high-quality exposure-attack capabilities, covert capabilities, and a cover of firepower and intelligence, which enabled the forces to locate and eliminate Hamas terrorist cells.
As part of the operation, the forces located a number of combat complexes that had been hastily abandoned by the enemy as they withdrew from the area. During the searches, a large amount of combat equipment was located: vests, magazines, grenades, maps and cameras that were used by the enemy to issue terror plans and collect information about our forces. The combat equipment was transferred to intelligence agencies for investigation.
