Keir Starmer is set to announce British recognition of a Palestinian state today—despite opposition from nearly 90 percent of Brits
Yes, you read that right. According to an astonishing survey published yesterday in The Telegraph, a mere 13 percent of Britons support their government recognizing a Palestinian state “without any conditions.” But what’s perhaps even more shocking is that amongst Keir Starmer’s Labour voters, support for the move drops down to 11 percent.
Overall, a whopping 87 percent oppose recognition of Palestinian statehood without any conditions.
But there’s more: a majority of Brits—51 percent—“also opposes recognition while Hamas still controls Gaza and has not released any hostages,” The Telegraph noted.
