In a surprise nighttime raid, Israeli forces captured three Syrian terrorists sent by Iran.
The operation took place in two villages just 4 km from the Israeli border. The terrorists were caught in their beds, fully armed with grenades, explosive devices, and firearms.
The terror cell was tasked with gathering intelligence on IDF activity and aiding a future cross-border raid into Israel. However, the IDF had other plans.
The operation, led by the Golan Brigade under Division 210, was supported by Unit 504 field intelligence agents. It was carried out in the southern Syrian villages of Umm al-Lux and Ein al-Batzli. The terrorists, all Syrian nationals, were operating under direct Iranian guidance.
An IDF spokesperson said: "Our forces from Division 210 continue to act decisively to prevent the entrenchment of any terrorist elements in Syria, with the goal of protecting Israeli citizens—especially those living in the Golan Heights."
