Opposition Leader and former Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu sent his condolences Monday to the bereaved family of Border Police fighter Barrel Hadaria Shmueli.
“It breaks the heart. My spouse and I are sending condolences from the bottom of our hearts to the family of Barrel Hadaria Shmueli, a fighter in the Border Police undercover unit who fell while protecting the state,” Netanyahu said in a statement.
“Over the past several days we prayed together with the entire people of Israel for his health. We hoped for a miracle but unfortunately, the worse had happened. We embrace Yossi and Nitza and the entire family,” he continued.
“Barrel fought with his friends in determination and bravery against terrorism from the Gaza Strip. We will never forget his heroism. May his memory be a blessing and cherished in our hearts always.”
