When analysts talk about the subject of Israeli-Saudi normalization, there are important issues that no one seems to mention.
When analysts are asked: What does the USA get from the normalization of Israel and Saudi Arabia, they mostly talk about the prestige Joe Biden would receive.
Of course, this is true. Biden, who badly needs a boost if he wants a chance against Donald Trump, will be rejuvenated by such a move.
Both Israel and Saudi Arabia, having been the two countries hurt most by the Biden administration’s alienization of them might love to be able to wait until a new president would be in the White House, but they might not be able to wait that long.
The two countries stand to gain too much from such a deal to worry about who is sitting in the oval office.
Up till here things are quite obvious but what the analysts are not mentioning, and must be said, is that maybe the biggest winner in such a deal would be the United States itself.
As things stand, the United States, mostly because of Biden's senseless mistake of turning both the Saudis and the Netanyahu government into pariahs, is losing a very important area to their duo enemies, Russia and China.
A Saudi Arabia - Israel peace agreement, defined and protected by the US could radically change all that in one swift move.
The US would not only gain military purchases by the two nations, but the US would build the Saudi nuclear program (while making sure it stayed "civilian") and most likely dozens of other mega projects waiting to be built in Saudi Arabia and Israel.
Such a standing would bring other countries, in and outside the gulf, to want to belong to this new alliance.
This would put the Iran proxy network in chaos, push back China, weaken Russia, while enriching America and returning to the US a lot of lost prestige in the world.
While normalization between Israel and the Saudis will be a huge win for them both, it is important we see the "bigger" picture which is hoped, more peace, more prosperity and more order to the world.
