Every sovereign state carries a sacred duty: to protect its citizens from hatred, violence, and persecution.
Yet across Europe, Jews are increasingly subject to attacks, harassment, and the revival of dangerous antisemitic rhetoric. The continent that once vowed “Never Again” after the Holocaust is witnessing a resurgence of the very disease it swore to eradicate.
European governments, obsessed with appeasing large Muslim populations for political convenience, have consistently failed to uphold their responsibility. Instead of confronting radical ideologies and hate-driven movements, they have allowed them to flourish under the guise of tolerance. The result is that Jews in Paris, London, Brussels, and Berlin must live behind locked gates and security patrols—an indictment of European democracy itself.
Here lies Israel’s unavoidable role. As the nation-state of the Jewish people, Israel cannot remain a passive observer while Jews abroad face rising threats. It must lead the campaign to remind European states of their obligations, applying both moral and political pressure. Israel must call out governments that prefer silence over justice, and expose the duplicity of leaders who claim to defend human rights while ignoring the daily violation of Jewish safety.
