ZAKA reports that the fatal accident took place near the city of Ouarzazate, when a vehicle carrying five Israelis lost control and overturned, killing all of the travelers.
According to ZAKA, the accident occurred around 10:00 a.m. local time near Ouarzazate in south-central Morocco. Their vehicle reportedly lost control and overturned, resulting in the deaths of all five travelers.
Haim Weingarten, Deputy Director General of ZAKA, stated:
"From the moment we received the report of this tragic incident, our international unit has been working closely with Moroccan authorities to expedite the identification and release of the bodies. We are also assisting the families in arrangements to bring their loved ones to Israel for burial."
A few months ago, Israel's National Security Council raised the threat level for Morocco to Level 3 (moderate threat) and advised avoiding unnecessary travel due to concerns about potential terror threats targeting Israelis in the region.
