American sanctions: Turkey next in line?

In Turkey, the threats heard from Washington regarding sanctions that will be imposed on it due to the expansion of trade relations with Russia are rather underestimated.

Noradin Navati, the Turkish Minister of Finance defined the American threat towards Turkish companies as "meaningless".

Turkey has made it clear that it will not stop commercial ties with Moscow. Turkish companies are keeping an eye on the Russian market and especially on assets that Western companies have abandoned there.

This is why Washington fears that Turkey will become a market through which Russia will circumvent the sanctions and therefore threatens measures.
