3 Egyptian officers and 5 soldiers were killed in a mysterious explosion in Sinai
An Egyptian journalist and human rights activist, Omar al-Fatairi, revealed that 3 officers with the rank of captain and 5 Egyptian soldiers were killed in an explosion inside the air defense base in North Sinai.

He confirmed in a blog post on the "X" platform (formerly Twitter) that eight bodies arrived this morning (Monday) at the Al-Arish military hospital, in addition to a number of wounded with various injuries.
He noted that the cause of the explosion has not been determined, whether it is a technical fault or a terrorist attack.
