NEWSRAEL: Arab reports say that the Houthis have bigger problems than the US-led coalition and Israel. Here are the reasons:
Arab media outlets present a number of significant indications that point to the preparations of the various factions in Yemen (NOT ISRAEL!) supported by the UAE and Saudi Arabia for a possible ground operation against the Houthi regime in Sanaa.
1. The worsening public tone of the Yemeni Sunni "Al-Islah" party, which is supported by Saudi Arabia. Senior party officials accused the Houthis of providing an excuse for Israel and the US-led coalition to attack Yemen and damage Yemeni infrastructure and civilians, "due to foreign agendas," which could turn Yemen into a second Gaza. This is especially true in light of the fact that the Houthis are not equipped with the military capabilities that would allow them to stand up to Israel and the US-led coalition.
2. Officials in the legitimate Yemeni government (located in Aden) have expressed support for Israel's threats to eliminate senior Houthi officials.
3. According to sources close to the legitimate Yemeni government, for the first time in years, "arrangements" and contacts are being made between the Saudi-backed "Al-Islah" party and other factions in Yemen supported by the UAE (based in the Marib province and western Yemen), in preparation for a possible escalation.
4. Al-Amna' newspaper, affiliated with the "Southern Transitional Council" (close to the UAE), confirmed that preparations are being made for a ground military operation in early 2025 against the Houthis in Yemen. Al-Amna' reports, citing a senior source, that following the continued threat to shipping lanes by the Houthis, an international consensus has emerged regarding the need for a military operation to resolve this crisis.
5. Saif Al-Mathna, a researcher at the Washington Institute who studies the Yemeni scene, noted that French and American forces are supervising the training and education of special units in the eastern provinces of Yemen (mainly in the Al-Mahra province).
6. The "Al-Issalah" party (supported by Saudi Arabia) is conducting "military arrangements" on the line of contact in the northern province of Taiz - where daily clashes with the Houthis have begun in recent weeks.
7. The UN has begun to address the issue (yesterday, several statements were recorded by representatives of various countries at the UN regarding the Houthi threat to shipping lanes) and there is an attempt to create a broad international consensus at the UN General Assembly for action against the Houthis. Furthermore, there are reports that as a result, the UN Security Council will give the green light to such an action.
ABU ALI EXPRESS - TELGRAM ADDS:
The above (and other) indications, along with the fact that Israel has decided to escalate its actions in Yemen (and the fact that Trump will enter the White House very soon) could point to a significant event in Yemen, one that will threaten the continuation of the Houthi regime.
I will repeat what I mentioned before: cutting off this Iranian arm is as necessary as its predecessors and it must be done in parallel with and in addition to action against Iran.
Both the arms and the head. Everything.
Using the Houthis' "natural enemy" is the right way to defeat them. It is absolutely necessary.
