Iran’s terrorist regime is escalating its threats against student protesters as anger grows over economic hardship, food shortages and deteriorating conditions at universities.
The regime has accused demonstrators of collaborating with Zionism and serving Iran’s foreign enemies. It has also invoked the religious accusation of being “enemies of God and His messenger,” a charge that can carry the death penalty under Iranian law.
Such language is not merely propaganda. Tehran has repeatedly used accusations of foreign conspiracy and religious treason to justify violent crackdowns, mass arrests and executions.
By portraying student demonstrators as agents of Israel rather than citizens protesting hunger, repression and government failure, the regime appears to be preparing the public for another potentially brutal wave of suppression.
