On December 5, 2011 Barak Obama was the president of the USA.

He was alerted on day by the Pentagon that Iran had captured a fully intact downed advanced RQ-170 drone.

President Obama overruled advisors who wanted to immediately launch a strike to destroy the technology. Obama feared Iran would respond.
