As part of the expansion of the ground maneuvers in the Gaza Strip, the IDF has brought all regular infantry and armored brigades into the Strip, as part of a dramatic expansion of the fighting.
The last brigade to enter: the Paratroopers Brigade, which completed its entry into the Strip in the past 24 hours.
At this stage, we are talking about two major combat hubs: in the north of the Strip and the Khan Yunis area in its south, a week after the IDF called on residents to evacuate those places ahead of intense IDF activity and extensive air force strikes.
Unlike in the past, no clashes with terrorists have been recorded so far. Security sources told us that most of the terrorists fled to the south of the Gaza Strip after realizing that IDF forces were about to arrive.
The movement of forces deep into the Gaza Strip is being done slowly, different from what we have seen in the past, in accordance with the decision made by Chief of Staff Zamir and the Southern Command Commander Asor: "Security at the expense of speed," meaning advancing with air cover, stealthily, and with as little danger to our forces as possible.
