Two years have passed since the murder of Rena Schnerb by PFLP terrorists, a number of whom were then employed as officials at European-funded NGOs. Yet, many European governments continue to ignore the evidence and invest heavily in this NGO network. This is a blatant misuse of taxpayer funds and reflects a severe lack of due diligence that characterizes governmental NGO funding processes.

For years, NGO Monitor, a Jerusalem-based research institute, has documented the close links between ten European-funded NGOs and the PFLP. In May 2021, the Israeli government revealed that Palestinian NGOs, including Health Work Committees - Palestine لجان العمل الصحي fabricated aid projects in order to funnel funds to terror activities - confirming NGO Monitor's research.
