Any attack would trigger unprecedented Israeli response
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu issued a stark warning to Iran during a speech to the Knesset on Monday, cautioning that any attack on Israel would trigger a response of unprecedented force.
“If Iran makes a mistake and attacks us, we will respond with a force that Iran has never experienced before,” Netanyahu said. “No one can predict what will happen in Iran, but one thing is clear: Iran will never return to what it once was.”
The remarks came amid heightened regional tensions, including ongoing anti-regime protests in Iran that Netanyahu has previously expressed support for, describing them as a potential pivotal moment for the Iranian people to seize control of their future. In earlier addresses around early January, he voiced solidarity with Iranian protesters while vowing that Israel and the United States would not permit Iran to rebuild its nuclear program or ballistic missile capabilities, which he said had been significantly damaged in prior operations.
