Foreign jihadists who formed part of the original яд of Jabhat al-Nusra, and who now operate under Hayat Tahrir al-Sham led by Abu Mohammad al-Jolani, have issued an explicit and violent message aimed at Syria’s minorities and minority-linked militias.
In a statement circulated by jihadist elements now operating under the so-called Ministry of Defense of Jolani’s regime, the threat reads:
“We will turn your night into day, your day into fire, and your blood into rivers. This is the oath of the conquering victors.”
The threats are directed at several groups: the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), the Alawite-linked militia Saraya al-Jawad Coastal Shield, and the Druze National Guard operating in Sweida.
